Thanks to Jon Runaas for sending me these photos. In Jon's own words:

I had been watching ebay for saddlebags for my Jackal when I saw a listing for the following bags. The seller advertised them as being for an airhead BMW, but they looked like the size and shape I was looking for to go with my Hannigan SS fairing. The price was right so I took a chance. They had obviously been molested in the past as the latch has been replaced, a large square hold had been cut for tail lights (might have been factory?) and then the hole had been plugged with some plywood held in place with silicone. I searched but could not find any appropriate tail lights to fit the hole so I picked out some lights I thought would look good and fiberglassed the hole closed.

Mounting was surprisingly easy; if in fact the mounts were for BMW they fit quite well on my Tonti. I have no idea if the mounts I was shipped were original to the bags or not but they were stout and shaped right so I didn't care. I had a welder friend modify them but probably could have gotten away with just bending some different tabs and bolting them on.

Just this morning while searching google for something else I happened upon a scan of an advertisement that appears to show the same or similar bags by the same company, and was pleased to see they sold them for Moto Guzzi; perhaps this explains why the mounts I was shipped fit so well; they may have been for an early Tonti frame!

Attached are the photos from the ebay seller, then various photos showing details of the mounts, hinges, etc and a shot of them on the bike.

If you feel this is information that would be beneficial to other Guzzi enthusiasts feel free to post this on your website. Thank you so much for hosting such a great wealth of information!
