Thanks to Jack Huisinga for sending me this information in a private e-mail. In Jack's own words:
Attached is a picture of the oil gauge on my Convert. The gauge is a 1.5 inch liquid filled unit from eBay seller
jerzeecustoms. USD $23.00 + USD $6.00 shipping. Great value.I fab'd the bracket from some aluminum angle. The bracket is a bit funky but it works and I like using the deflector lug on the crash bar to attach it. The other custom component is the hollow bolt MG# 95990037 drilled through with 1⁄8 inch NPT fitting brazed on the end.
The custom braided stainless line is from eBay seller
IrwjcwakaLee's Speed Shopwho sells a set ofOverhead Oil Lines for Shovelhead, Braided Steelfor USD $16.00 + USD $5.00. I used only the short hose. They have 1⁄8 inch NPT with a swivel on one end. Other fittings are a standard 1⁄8 inch NPT elbow and two 45° street ells. The hose clamp goes around the bracket and a section of vinyl hose that goes over one end of the bronze elbow. If I have it apart sometime I'll braze some ears onto the elbow and fasten it to the bracket through some rubber grommets. But of course, the forks need rebuilding more than the bracket needs fixing.
