Side stand: fitting a police side stand with foot pegs

The police side stand requires a different left side crash bar and, of course, the police side stand itself. Both bolt on easily.

However, the police side stand was only ever intended to be fit along with police footboards. Without the footboard rail, the side stand will bang against other parts when retracted. Not Good. Thanks to Charlie Mullendore of Antietam Classic Cycle for sharing his solution. In Charlie's own words:

I think I've figured out a pretty simple stop for the police side stand on Charlie B's Eldo. I machined a rod that will weld onto the stand out at the foot and a stock Guzzi deployment rubber will fit onto. It will bump up against the underside of the footpeg. I got the idea when I was using a socket to hold the stand out away from the new headpipe.
