Information
Weatherstrip/gaskets
I extracted this information from AJ Huff off of the old Yahoo! Loopframe_Guzzi news group (which has now moved to Groups.io). In AJ's own words:
Hi guys, I don't know anything about any other bags other than the Bucos that came with my bike. In rehabbing them (not refinished and NOT restored) I replaced the top weather stripping with some that I bought (McMaster-Carr part number 12335A411). I could not get an exact match, the new stuff is a little taller, probably better made. This makes a very tight, almost too tight seal. I'm pretty sure they are water proof from rain.
Latches
I extracted this information from George Dockray off of the old Yahoo! Loopframe_Guzzi news group (which has now moved to Groups.io). In George's own words:
Got this tip for anybody that's looking to replace Buco Twinmaster latches. Apparently a very close fit, although w/o locking feature.
Vintage Vibe calls these Rhodes Reproduction Latches
or Fender Rhodes Reproduction Latches
. Available in:
Keys
Thanks to Rich Pardo for sending me this information via email. In Rich's own words and photos:
I have a set of Buco twinmaster saddlebags but no keys on my V700 and I thought you might want to add some information on available keys based on what I've found.
Seems that two keys that work on the Buco's are The Excelsior 6K1 and the Excelsior 6K11.
They were made for a variety of luggage and guitar cases evidently and are easily found on Ebay.
