Thanks to Don Fraser for sending me this information via email. Don spoke with Mike Rich of Mike Rich Motorsports. Mike measured the difference between the edge and the crown on a factory V11 tappet/lifter. The difference was 0.002 inch.

I do not know what grinding radius this works out to be, but Greg Field has mentioned the re-grind radius is typically in the range of 1 m to 4 m. Perhaps I'll do the math on this some day
