I ordered a replacement VIN tag from khneisser and the replacement is fantastic quality. Fast international shipping to the US. He also includes the replacement rivets as well and does the engraving for model year, manufacture date, and engine/frame numbers. I have attached a photograph of my replacement, I blurred out the VIN and engine number for the internet's sake.

I figured this info might be useful for those like me who are doing a full restoration. The original VIN tag on the bike was barely legible and had lots of corrosion, so this was a good option.
